How Our Duct Leakage Testing Works?

Our testing setup includes a calibrated fan, a pressure monitoring device, and a sealing system for supply and return registers. We begin by sealing all but one register or return vent using adhesive tape, reusable seals, or panels. A calibrated fan is then connected to the remaining open vent. As the fan delivers air into the system, we monitor pressure levels in a branch of the ductwork. Any air escaping through seams, joints, or unsealed points in the ductwork becomes visible thanks to the introduction of a non-toxic, highly visible smoke.
